Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and tribal leader Uruwarige Vannila Atthan met at the Parliament premises.
The Prime Minister's Office says that attention has been drawn to the difficulties faced by the tribal people in using their traditional lands.
The Prime Minister assured the Vannila Atthan that the tribal people have the right to enjoy their traditional lands without hindrance and that steps will be taken to complete the legal proceedings in this regard expeditiously.
